About Us..
Bathurst Model Aero Sports
Inc. was formed mid 2010 by a group of enthusiasts who share a common
and passionate interest in radio controlled flight. We aim to promote
and support this fantastic hobby and sport to the residents of Bathurst
and surrounding districts.
We currently have over 30 members and some of those members have over 40
years building and flying experience of model aircraft.
Our club airfield is located about 10 minutes north of Bathurst outside
the small village of Peel, please click on the "Location" button at top
of this page for directions on how to get there.
Our main club flying days are Sunday and Wednesday mornings weather
permitting, while other days members get together and fly.
We offer a relaxed friendly family atmosphere, and make safety our
number one priority. Sunday mornings we have a barbecue for breakfast,
and to wash that down there are hot and cold drinks also available, all
proceeds go to the club.
The club has 2 nitro powered high wing trainer planes which new
prospective members can try out with our flight instructors.
Our club allows 4 orientation/flying days for prospective new members
for free before being required to join. New members are welcome to use
the clubs trainers under supervision until you get your own plane
together.
If your interested in getting into this highly addictive hobby and sport
come down and check us out.
